Kim Bailey
MSW BSW RSW
Hello, and Welcome!
I'm Kim Bailey, a licensed social worker and mental health counsellor, a maternal mental health advocate, and a mom myself.
I attended the University of Calgary where I completed my Masters Degree in Social Work. I have over 25 years of experience in a variety of different behavioural healthcare settings. In addition to being a licensed mental health counsellor, I also have the ability to supervise and train registered mental health interns by serving as a qualified clinical supervisor.
I am a proud parent of an LGBTQS+ child and have been through that adjustment as a parent and I watched my child struggle because I was not educated enough to support them. I want to honour them and their journey by helping to support other parents so they learn from our journey and parents support their children in the way their child needs.
I am passionate about educating and providing support and tools for people to manage their anxiety. In a world that has been taken over by Covid-19, restrictions, job loss, isolation, addictions, and many other factors that affect our mental health, the community is struggling. I have a forum to assist, and I want to help you be well and feel like you have some control over your mental health.
I specialize in treating the following:
Front Line workers with burnout and/or trauma affecting personal and professional life
Health Related Issues - Coping/Illness Adjustment
Depression and Anxiety During and after Pregnancy
Grief and Loss
Postpartum Depression
Anxiety and Panic Disorder
Life Transitions
Role Adjustments (parenting, empty nesting, change in employment/career)
I also provide services to address:
LGBTQ+ Parental Support
Mild to Moderate Anxiety and Depression
and more
While I have specialized training in issues surrounding Trauma, PTSD and Mental Health, I pride myself on providing a safe and warm space where anyone who is struggling can feel comfortable to access help and support.
